We stayed at Sam's Town on our December 1998 trip. Our room (pictured below) was #416, about halfway around towards the Boulder Highway side of the hotel on the fourth floor.

This was the view out out window when we first arrived and caught the 2pm Sunset Stampede show.

During the evening we had a pretty nice gambling session and Dan even managed to get one of these!

Although it was much too cold outside, we still managed to check out the pool area for future reference.

Later on in the evening, Dan took these wonderful pictures of the Sunset Stampede show with the lights and lasers.

After the 10pm show, we got ourselves an ice cream at Calamity Jane's. I read somewhere that they make their own ice cream at Sam's Town and I'd believe it. The ice cream was very yummy and contrary to the look of this picture, I did get to have one of these cones!

We also got a chance to wander around and appreciate the beautiful decorations in the atrium.
